Description: Victorian Flatbush Open Artist Studios has about 40 participating artists. These artists are opening their doors to the public and sharing their work. The artists don't charge admission to their art studios. We'll stop in some of these art studios and get a rare, intimate view of the artists' working environment. We can also talk to the artists about what they do. This art walk features painting, photography, ceramics, mixed-media, sculpture, and printmaking.

We'll also be walking down streets in the Victorian Flatbush's historic districts, which have free-standing Victorian houses in various architectural styles (Arts & Crafts, Colonial, Japanese, Queen Anne, Swiss, etc.) with turrets, bay windows, stained glass windows, finials, and ornamental wreaths. Below are photos of houses in this area. We'll be visiting art studios in some of these beautiful houses.

Only heavy rain will cancel this walk. Therefore, if it is heavy rain, I will post a cancellation notice on Sunday morning. If I don't post a cancellation notice, I plan to be at the meeting place. If it is raining, I will just bring an umbrella. (We will be spending half of the time inside these artist studios anyway. Plus, this event is held only once a year, so there is no rain date to reschedule it.) If I do cancel the art walk, I will post a cancellation notice in the Discussion Board.
Below are photos of one of the beautiful Victorian houses on the tour. We will be visiting this house on the last stop.
