The selection of books was more challenging and interesting than most. I hope that my background in German philosophy can provide a viewpoint that isn't typically heard. I like to make sure my thoughts are well thought out before sharing them.
Kafka, Dostoevsky, Nietzsche, Gillian Rose, Eric Santner, Thomas Mann, David Foster Wallace, JM Coetzee, Phillip Roth, Hanif Kureishi, Philip K. Dick, Saul Bellow, Margaret Atwood, Irvin D. Yalom...
The Dawn of Day, Notes From the Underground, Disgraced, A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, The Psychotheology of Everyday Life, Portnoy's Complaint, Death in Venice, Buddha of Suburbia, When Nietzsche Wept, The Adventures of Augie March...
My interests as a child were not scholastic...I mostly enjoyed videogames and television. When I went to College I was instantly mesmerized by the study of literature and philosophy. I hope to continue studying both seriously.
I grew up in the town of Riverdale within the Bronx. I recently got my BA in continental philosophy and literature. I am now back at home applying to grad schools and hoping to meet people with similar interests to my own.
