Ruby gems are easy and fun. For those that have never written a Ruby gem, we'll live-code a new one, including all the usual suspects: a README, Gemfile, .gemspec, .gitignore, specs, a version, LICENSE, Changelog and Rakefile. For those that have open-sourced many gems, we'll look into adding some more advanced infrastructure for beautiful errors.
Daniel Doubrovkine (aka dB.) is the tallest engineer at Artsy. He founded and sold a start-up in the early 90s and completely failed another. He worked for Microsoft and various other smaller companies. Daniel is also a committed open-source cheerleader and blogger.
