Re: [NYC-rb] Software project management texts?

There are *sooo* many. Both of Mary and Tom Poppendiecks books on Lean software development are classics, David Andersons book on Kanban is a great introduction to that topic. There are a number of really good books by Mike Cohn which are probably the most practical and down to earth "getting started" guides on Agile in general, and of course there is the official Scrum guide.

But the most compelling book I've ever read on Agile is Don Reinertsens latest book on "principles of product development flow". If you've already read most of the other books on Agile it'll still blow your mind.

Best Wishes,
Peter

"Peopleware" was a good read, and for a comparative survey of Agile I liked "Agile and Iterative Development" by Craig Larman.

Hi - I was wondering if the list could share their recommendations for texts which analyze and critique software project management or perhaps software development philosophies. All opinions are welcome (except Waterfall JK :)!
