I received a few emails already, and sorry for the confusion, so I'll be more clear in this email.
As I mentioned in my first message, I need someone who can handle the expediting of the building permits, which means I need someone who someone who is familiar and experienced with filing for building permits in Queens, who knows the zoning and additional information required on construction drawings in New York City.
They would need to go into the Building Department to meet with the Plan Examiner to review the drawings, and determine if any changes are required in order to comply with the Building Code.
I expect the process would work as this:
1. I would visit the site and meet with the owner and contractor to determine the scope of the project.
2. You would research the zoning and building codes at the building Department, and let me know what is permitted and the Building Permit process. You would pick up and prepare all building, plumbing, and electrical permit documentation, including what is required for a Certificate of Occupancy.
3. Based upon what you find out, I would prepare the drawings as per code. We would meet and you would go back into the building department to review the completed drawings with the Plan Examiner.
4. If any changes to the drawings are required, you would let me know, and I would make the changes, and you would file again.
