DAM Hiring

Since the field of Digital Asset Management (DAM) is only growing and it does involve people, the questions of why, how and where to find DAM professionals has been a challenge for many organizations.

We have organized a panel discussion to answer these questions and how these challenges can be resolved.

We will look at these challenges in the following perspectives:

  • The hiring manager looking for a DAM professional
  • Recruiting experienced professionals
  • Skills to work on as a current DAM professional
  • The graduate with prior relevant work experience, including internships
  • What to focus on as a student aspiring to become a DAM professional

Our panel discussion will include Joe Bachana, Alice Merchant and Gretchen Nadasky.

Co-organizer Henrik de Gyor will moderate this panel discussion.

This meetup may have wide appeal to many working DAM professionals, graduates, hiring managers, recruiters, students as well as people interested in Digital Asset Management. We look forward to seeing you there.

Hello, I'm in London, so can't attend but wish I could. Any virtual guests allowed? Or might there be a summation of the meeting posted somewhere? As a student seeking internships/work experience, I'm appreciative of any career advice and insight I can get. Thanks.

Hi Jennifer, This event will not be virtual, but we can look into doing an online event in the future. I will likely blog about this specific event in the near future as well. Thanks.

I am a student too, in New Jersey, and it's hard to get to NY right mow. Virtual meet ups/videoconferences would be fabulous - or a meetup recording archive!

This is my first meet-up and was quite impressed with the setup and format. It was very informative and valuable even for people who want to explore the field of DAM. Thanks Henrik, Joe, Alice, Gretchen and Industrial Color for a great show.

Hello Everyone, hope you enjoyed the meetup. Here is some information about practical books and resources that have been useful to me throughout my time as a DAM Professional.

Any book by Scott Berkun, but particularly "Making Things Happen: Mastering Project Management"

Exploring Requirements: Quality Before Design by Donald C. Gause, Gerald Weinberg

Software Requirements 2 by Karl Wiegers

Organizations like In Good Company are great for networking and mentorship.

Freelancers union has many resources for people who are working independently.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

Exceeded my expectations as this was my first meetup. The range of experiences of the panelists made for relevant and varied perspectives. There was a relaxed atmosphere which seemed to allow the panelists and audience to open up to get a decent discussion going. Very well organized!

The event was really good. I met a few new people and learned quite a bit from the Global Edit presentation. I wish I could have stayed for the panel.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
