Adventures in Cucumber, Capybara & Selenium

Hello hello! A couple of you asked last time if we'd ever do a talk on using Cucumber (http://cukes.info/) and Selenium so I'm especially pleased to announce that this will be covered at our next event together.

Join us on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Shutterstock (http://www.shutterstock.com/?gclid=CNLZp8b6k6wCFQyChwodkz19Zw) to hear a talk by Robert Schultheis, Engineer in Test at SecondMarket (https://www.secondmarket.com/), titled Adventures in Cucumber.

The talk will feature an overview of how the team at SecondMarket combined Webdriver and Cucumber to make a completely standalone test suite for their web app. Rob will share some of the lessons they've learned along the way, how they might have handled things differently if they had to build it all over again, and answer any questions.

Then we'll have a talk by Mona Soni, Quality Analyst at IntentMedia (http://www.intentmedia.com/), who will share how we can extend the power of Cucumber using Capybara and make tests more effective using the browser agnostic feature of Capybara.

We'll meet around 6:30-7 for pizza, drinks, and mingling, and begin the presentation(s) around 7:30pm. If anyone wants to continue hanging out after the meetup, lets plan to make our way over to Killarny Rose (http://www.killarneyrose.com/) (127 Pearl St) for some drinks around 9.
