Doin' Good Business While Keepin' the Lights On!

For this meetup, we'll shift back to focusing on entrepreneurs. We're interested in exploring the allure of doing business with New York City DOE; however, it's been often noted the challenges in engaging the nation's largest school district.  So many firms will need to have a national, and even an international, focus in spite of NYC being in their backyard.

The panel will consist of firms in varying areas of the ed tech ecosystem, and varying approaches to the market. So we'll have the opportunity to discuss B2B and B2C models, the K12 and HE Markets, and the aforementioned approaches to locality.

are confirmed, and the panel may be further refined over the coming weeks.

Finally, we're extremely grateful to the Hatchery for hosting this event in their newly renovated space!

The space is home to early companies needing shared space... growing companies needing dedicated space... and an accelerator program for those just getting started. We bring events from corporates and media companies... pitch events to hone your skills.... VC workshops... CEO breakfasts to solve current problems with peers.... and of course happy hours!

Great panelists, all of them representing interesting companies. I would have liked a little on-screen demo for each, but I'll be checking them out online. Audience Q&A was also very good.

Hi all. Also, my first EdTech meeting. Was great! I raised my hand saying I was looking for someone with a technical background to partner with on a mobile app that I'm working on. Someone with game development experience is even better! If anyone is interested in learning more about this project, please shoot me an email at [masked]

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
