We are an e-learning company and have developed a science curriculum program for K-5 students. Our LMS is Canvas-based and we are seeking a consultant familiar with front-end Canvas use.
The candidate should be a teacher or consultant familiar with using e-learning in the classroom and with time available in August to provide suggestions on improving the usability of our innovative science curriculum for K-5 students. The ideal person would be computer and internet savvy, know Canvas, and also some have experience assisting other teachers (and students) with low technology skills to help us gain perspective on making our system easy to use for everyone.
We need to move quickly as we launch our program over the next 30 days. Specific items include:
- Use and explore the program (each course has multiple hours of content) and gain understanding of how the system works and of the key features, advantages (and any drawbacks) as both a teacher and as a student, and provide specific feedback and suggestions.
- Collaborate with our staff in writing our Knowledge Base and FAQ for teachers and students.
- Write clear, specific feedback and instructions with web links and screenshots and graphics where appropriate and create simple screencasts that illustrate key procedures, features or problems.
- Potentially be available to handle support inquiries (email, chat or phone calls) from our customers or staff that we have difficulty answering.
Compensation is negotiable, and there is a potential opportunity for ongoing consulting, if a good fit.
