To all construction enthusiasts,
As Prospect Architecture and Prospect Development and Construction starts our fourth passive house retrofit project in Park Slope, we are developing a new way to learn about passive house construction. Starting on or about March 22nd through the duration of the project we will have cameras set up in the house live streaming the construction project.
For all of us construction geeks out there, you can watch as the cellar slab and percolating drainage system is put in with all of its layers of digging, tubes, gravel, insulation, etc... You can also watch the joist pockets as we air seal them to the party walls and then install our laminated beams and new subfloor...
The project is a 2 family landmarked 4 story w/ cellar brick townhouse in center Park Slope. We are adding a new stoop to the building, replacing all the windows, and adding a one story ICF (Insulation Concrete Form) extension off of the back. We are also attempting to achieve PH certification through PHI.
Because we think that many others will take and interest in checking in on the progress for a minute or two on a daily basis as we will be, and because this live feed setup is not cheap, we are offering a monthly subscription to the live feed for a promotional rate of $5 to help us offset a small part of the cost.
