NY Quantified Self Show&Tell #10 (Google)

  • December 9, 2010 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Come join us in December for a night of talks on self-tracking and monitoring where you, the members of our NY Quantified Self community, share ideas, tools and experiments. If you are self-tracking in any way -- life-logging, biometrics, mood, sleep, pain, happiness, energy, etc -- come and share your methods, results and insight.

6 -7:00 pm SOCIAL HOUR AND NETWORKING
Come early, connect with others and share your interest in QS. We'll have refreshments supplied by our host and sponsor to get us started.

7:00 - 8:30 pm QS SHOW & TELL TALKS
Presentations will start at 7pm. We save the talks for personal accounts of self-tracking and self-experimentation, rather than sales pitches. Or if you have testimonials/stories from users of your device or application. We're also interested in gadgets or tools that you've built to track something about yourself.

If you'd like to give a talk, please let us know in advance so we can discuss your topic and how much time you'll need. We keep the length of presentations to 5 minutes + 5 minutes for Q&A. If you have slides to show, feel free but it's not required.

QS SPONSORS: OUR THANKS TO GOOGLE AND HEALTHTAP
Our venue and refreshments for this Show&Tell are generously being provided by Google and the team at Google Health. Video recording of the talks are being covered by HealthTap, our first annual sponsor, to support the Quantified Self movement expansion across the country and around the world.

QS SPONSORSHIP - WHAT IT IS
We use the sponsor money to pay for professional video recording and some decent refreshments, as well as to fund projects that help the larger QS community. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring Quantified Self or providing a venue for our Show&Tells, please let us know.

Thanks Steven and all presenters! Enjoyed once again and yes, does seem we are building a nice community of quantified explorers. Last night once again showed the various explorations.

It's amazing to see how much the QS meetup has grown in such a short time. Each meetup has been bigger and better than the previous and this latest was no exception. There were more great people and presentations, and the accommodation were excellent. Can't wait for the next one!

This was my first time at a QS meeting and I thought it was fantastic. All of the speakers were very insightful, interesting and well-prepared. I was so excited to be a part and see what everyone else is working on, and it was much-needed inspiration to continue working on my own projects.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
