Are you a first generation Asian American? Have you ever felt marginalized by both White Americans AND FOBs? Do you feel like an outsider, even though you've been here all along?
Are you struggling to carve out a unique identity for yourself? Are you Asian? American? Either way, does the rest of the world always seem to get it mixed up?
This social group is focused on bringing together young Asian Americans that don't quite fit into typical Asian stereotypes to foster a sense of community and lasting friendships.
If you'd like to meet some great like-minded people who just might be in the same boat as you, please join us!
Meetups will be scheduled almost every week! Please email me with any suggestions you have for activities!
NYYAA would greatly appreciate donations, just a dollar or two to upkeep the group! Thank you!
It's hard to believe, but ice skating season in New York City has begun!!!! The Pond in Bryant Park is a great place to skate because admission to the rink is free. Sure, you'll have to pay to rent skates($12), but that's still a fraction of what it will cost you to skate at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, plus, you can skate as long as you like, because The Pond in Bryant Park has no time limits or scheduled skating sessions.
