Ayya Anandabodhi and Ayya Santachitta

Buddhist nuns Ayya Anandabodhi and Ayya Santachitta are coming to the NVMG Sangha to meet our members and present a dharma talk titled"'Being With Whatever Arises". This is an event you won't want to miss.

The nuns are co-founders of Aloka Vihara, a training monastery for women in San Francisco, dedicated to practicing the Buddha’s teaching in the style of the Theravada Forest Tradition. They have been practicing meditation for 25 years and are frequent teachers at Spirit Rock, the Insight Meditation Center, and other retreat centers throughout the bay area.

Ayya Anandabodhi and Ayya Santacitta lived and trained with the Siladhara Order at Amaravati and Chithurst Buddhist monasteries in England from 1992 to 2009. These communities were founded by Venerable Ajahn Sumedho, the foremost western disciple of the Venerable Ajahn Chah, a meditation master of the Thai Forest Tradition

They are working towards their vision of building a rural training monastery in the north bay region.

Please RSVP for this event so we can get a rough head count of those who plan to attend.
