Intro to Neo4j, Cypher and a case-study

This meetup will be an intro to Neo4j and graph databases. We will talk about how Cypher, our query language works and present a case-study with a brand new start-up that uses Neo4j. 

Agenda for the evening

5:30 - Sandwich, networking  and beverages 

6:00 - Intro to Neo4j

Chris Gioran, one of Neo4j's Core Hackers will introduce Neo4j and graph databases. 

6:30 - Cypher - the story behind the marvelous language

Andrés Taylor, the father of Cypher will explain our humane query language and compare it with SQL.


A start-up which uses Neo4j will present its work and explain why they choose a graph database as part of their infrastructure. (more info later)

8:00 Questions and networking at the "Green Lion"
