Ruby and Rails Meetup Nepal (https://www.meetup.com/Nepal-Ruby-Users-Group/)

RubyNepal.org (https://www.rubynepal.org/)

(Meetup held usually every 2nd Sunday of the Month) (https://www.meetup.com/Nepal-Ruby-Users-Group/events/)

Ruby Meetup for the month of July 2016. This time we have two speakers for the event:

  1. Ruby Implementation by Uzzal Devkota (LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/oozzal , Twitter: https://twitter.com/oozzal )
There are several Ruby Implementations ( https://github.com/cogitator/ruby-implementations/wiki/List-of-Ruby-implementations ) other than MRI. In this talk, Uzzal is going to show the strengths and weaknesses of top three implementations of Ruby ( MRI, JRuby, Rubinius)

  2. New features on Rails 5 by (LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/zoras , Twitter: https://twitter.com/zoraslapen )
In the last meetup we were introduced to Action Cable, which was the latest addition to the rails family, but that is not the only cool feature introduced. This time, we are going to see other awesome features introduced onRails 5, which was recently released after four beta and two release candidate on June 30, 2016.

You are warmly welcome to drop-in at the meetup event; participate (bring along friends), get to know the local Ruby/Rails community or volunteer at the event and relief your stress with Ruby love. Sharing your experience, problems and tips are always appreciated and encouraged.

Talks for this month's Ruby Meetup event can be found at https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/milestones/

Never heard of Ruby? Eager to start learning Rails? Freshers/Juniors or Seniors; all are expected to show up at the event where all levels of conversation/ideas/views are discussed.

People at the meetup are MINASWAN (friendly, helpful and nice) so don't hesitate to ask/share anything as we are open-source minded. If there's any topic you think should be covered at the meetup event then please let us know by adding/opening (https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/issues/new) issues at https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/issues . Fancy speaking in front of others? then do add (https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/issues/new) your title there-in as well.

Want to present and can't find a title?
Even better option is to pick one up from the issue list (https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/issues) or add (https://github.com/RubyNepal/rorh/issues/new) your own presentation title, challenge yourself (or dare your friend) to give a talk & prove yourself to get featured on RubyNepal blog (https://www.rubynepal.org/blog/) and add that to your resume.
