Free Public Forum: Why is Weight Loss so Hard? (must register with Eventbrite)

A discussion of weight loss, nutrition, and exercise

Register in advance http://www.blackburnpublicforum.eventbrite.com/ (rsvping on Meetup won't get you in, you have to follow the link above)

Leading clinicians and researchers in the field of obesity medicine from Harvard Medical School and around the country invite you to participate in a discussion of weight loss, nutrition, and exercise.

Offered for the first time as part of the Blackburn Course in Obesity Medicine, this session is free and open to the public.

Panelists will discuss the topic, “Why is Weight loss so Hard?”

Audience participants will have a chance to pose their questions to the panelists.

If you have specific questions that you would like addressed at the forum, you can submit them when you register at http://www.blackburnpublicforum.eventbrite.com/

We will be meeting in Dante after the event since I'm sure talking about food for two hours will make me hungry. I'll post a separate event for that and might actually start a website called "Eventnotsobrite" for when people want to get together to do dumb things.

This meeting was somewhat interesting in the sense it was a logical discussion, but, like they say in my country, it was just mental masturbation. With all due respects to the members of the panel, all learned professionals, their “science” is what science, physics, was 300 or 400 years ago. “Why is weight loss so hard?” is simply because obesity is part of evolution of the human race economical, social, and political evolution, and any attempts to stop it are just like rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic.

Does anyone know if there is a T stop nearby, or cheaper parking not too far, since it may be pouring rain? Parking at the hotel is $20 if you self park (and that's with a meeting discount).

Park at cambridgeside galleria across the street. The closest T is Kendall MIT (0.8m). Or green line Lechmere (0.4m)

Since this is full, could attendees, if they feel so inclined, write a few comments after the event about what they learned?

Ha--but we all still must eat irrespective of body composition. Just make wise choices. ☺

If this fills up, please join the waitlist. They will notify me if they can arrange a larger venue and reopen the reservation process.
