NERD FUN: RSVP reliability stats

a note about RSVPing.

Organizers do mark down who RSVPed "yes" and didn't show up, particularly for the events where it's more important to know how many people are expected (like volunteering for WGBH - 10 out of 20 people showed up... that's bad. I wouldn't have committed 20 people if I'd known 10 would show. There was a lot of interest - 35 people or so. But when it came down to it, 10 people came when 20 committed.)

These no-shows show up as stats on your profile which the organizers can see. And we will definitely unRSVP someone with a really bad RSVP-flake record for events when headcount really matters.

We are all just volunteers that like getting people together to do stuff that we like to do ourselves. Nerd Fun members are far and away the nicest people in Boston.

But, please be good to your organizers by being reliable RSVPers.

Happy Labor Day,
and Nerd On!
