Hello fellow Nerd Fun members!

Have you heard about Jon Stewart's answer to Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor" rally, marching on Washington, DC on October 30th? I can't go, but I wanted to pass along information if you wanted to attend.

It's called the "Rally to Restore Sanity". Colbert is calling his part of the rally the "March to Keep Fear Alive".

The official rally site is att http://www.rallytorestoresanity.com/

"Think of our event as Woodstock, but with the nudity and drugs replaced by respectful disagreement; the Million Man March, only a lot smaller, and a bit less of a sausage fest; or the Gathering of the Juggalos, but instead of throwing our feces at Tila Tequila, we?ll be actively *not* throwing our feces at Tila Tequila. Join us in the shadow of the Washington Monument. And bring your indoor voice. Or don?t. If you?d rather stay home, go to work, or drive your kids to soccer practice? Actually, please come anyway. Ask the sitter if she can stay a few extra hours, just this once. We?ll make it worth your while".

Groups such as the Inquisitve Minds Meetup group are boarding charter buses to go down to Washington. The buses are leaving North Station at 1:30 am, in order to pull into Washington, DC at 9:00 am. It's going to be $90.00 round-trip.

Go to the Inquisitive Minds website at http://www.inquisitiveminds.org/calendar/15096722/ for more information and to sign up with them if you wish to go with them. I am not sure when and where in North Station the Inquisitive Minds people are meeting up.

Deadline to reserve your bus ticket from DC Rally Bus: October 18th

... according to the DC Rally Bus site, there are 65 people coming from the Boston area that will be split up into two buses. Each bus can hold around 50 people the site mentions, so there seems to be plenty of room, and no risk of the bus trip being cancelled because it didn't make its 40 person minimum the bus organizers are looking for.

The bus schedule is posted on the DC Rally Bus site at http://www.dcrallybus.com/RallyToRestoreSanity/Schedule

More information from DC Bus Rally.com:

"All buses aim to arrive in DC at 9am.
"All times are the day of the rally, 10/30/2010, except where noted.
"Return trips will all leave DC at 6pm.
"All times are Eastern Standard.
"We will dropping people off and picking them up at Union Station".
