Banditos Misteriosos 2nd Second Annual Revolutionary Water Gun Fight:
Friday evening is when the group Banditos Misteriosos [ http://www.misteriosos.org/?page_id=81
] finally emails all who have signed up to their event where the location of their Second Annual Revolutionary Water Gun Fight at 1:30 pm on Saturday August 22nd in some unknown Boston location and if you are on the "Red shirt" team or the "Blue Shirt" team.
... and of course I want all of us to be on the same team! :) To join Nerd Fun in glorious battle:
1) Sign up at http://www.meetup.com/NerdFunBoston/calendar/10967382/
2) Send me an email (if you haven't already) to http://www.meetup.com/NerdFunBoston/members/4996698/
or [address removed] so I have your email address. They want large groups to sign up together, so late Wednesday night I am going to be throwing people's email address into an Excel spreadsheet and emailing it to Banditos Misteriosos. I think this is so one side or the other isn't lop-sided. By next Friday at 8:00 pm we should all get an email from them telling us where to show up and what color team we are on.
So far we have 28 YES people, and 17 Maybes. I was wondering if the Maybes could firm up plans by Wednesday night? From their site: ""You will be receive an email on [Friday] August 21st at 8:00PM with your army assignment, color shirt and meet up location. If you have any additional revolutionary wear that you don't mind getting wet, well, get dressed up. Besides that, you are all set!"
... Remind me to bring a change of clothes. A change of clothes in a plastic bag. ;) And a towel. I don't know about you, but I plan on going to Toys R Us and trying to get the biggest squirt gun I can buy. Care to join us for lunch beforehand?
Anybody want to meet for lunch at, say, noon, nearby wherever it is? If it's on the Boston Common, there is a food court in the Massachusetts Transportation Building -- City Place 8 Park Plaza near the Boylston T stop and the Theater District http://www.wilderco.com/city-place2.htm
where we can group up and march to the field of battle and wait for the signal at 1:30 pm.
I keep thinking we should be marching to the field of battle two-by-two whistling "Colonel Bogey's March" from The Bridge over the River Kwai and The Breakfast Club, but that's up to the group to decide. Left to my own devices, I have tendancies to go overboard.
