We are a local, Orlando, group of business people driven to accelerate sustainability awareness, learning and action in the Greater Orlando community by:
-Inspiring and enabling employees to take on sustainability on their jobs and in their companies.
-Providing learning resources, but particularly local examples of sustainability action that have a before and after quantification of savings, revenue increase, or other business benefits.
-Presenting sustainability learning workshops and events for members and the community

First Net Impact Orlando Launch Event—Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Congress 2009
Orange County Convention Center, 10/12/09, 8:00 A.M.
The first Net Impact Orlando launch event is at the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Congress 2009 at the Orange County Convention Center October 11-14 in the presentation, ‘Sustainability Through Project Management and Net Impact’ at 8:00 A.M. T. Boone Pickens is the key note speaker the night before. There is a sizeable entrance fee to the Congress. This presentation and supporting white paper will be available at www.netimpactorlando.org in mid-October. The presentation and paper highlight the urgency for sustainability action, the leverage and power project managers have to contribute and benefit, and introduces to PMI:
-The Natural Step Sustainability Framework as the sustainability framework of first choice for Project Managers
-“Sustainable Project Management” (SPM) which initiates the concept that every project can be run by the project manager and team sustainably without looking for management support.
-“Project Management Sustainability Integration” (PMSI) introduces sustainability into the processes of the PMI PMBoK Guide (Project Management Body of Knowledge) demonstrating the flexibility of the Project Management discipline to integrate sustainability into every project with every client, whether external or internal.
-“The Project Managers Accord”, patterned after “The Designers Accord”, looks to inspire an initiative that enables project managers and project management companies worldwide to commit to a set of sustainability principles for every project with every client. “The Project Managers Accord” has the potential to substantially accelerate sustainability learning, collaboration, and action, as “The Designers Accord” is already beginning to do.
