Brian Flones, Superintendent Wenatchee Public Schools, to Speak at Upside Downtown Community Meeting Fri., Sept. 16 September 7, 2011, WENATCHEE, WA –What does the future of education in the valley look like? Brian Flones, Superintendent, Wenatchee Public Schools, will answer that question and more at Upside Downtown’s next Community Hub meeting on September 16. Flones will be the key presenter at the meeting, which will be held Friday, September 16 from 8:30 am to 9:50 am at Wenatchee World’s Press Room at 14 N. Mission St, Wenatchee, WA. The meeting is Free. Rufus Woods, Wenatchee World Publisher, will kick start the meeting with a brief introduction. Flones will talk about the status of Wenatchee Learns, a new initiative of the Wenatchee School District meant to transform learning in our valley. http://www.wenatcheelearns.com The meeting will wrap with the popular “Around the Room” session, which allows those attending to introduce themselves and to tell about their business or organization. The meetings are an initiative of Upside Downtown’s Community Hub, created to engage community members in conversations to connect, communicate and collaborate and build community.
