In April 2012, the WCA hosted a widely successful mobile sensors event showcasing the sensors-enabled mobile apps, devices and context-aware usages which will define the future mobile device user experience. Since then, we’ve witnessed explosive growth of these smarter mobile devices but with fragmenting hardware platforms from larger display smartphones to "phablets" and tablets, and even smart watches and glasses as extensible accessories that connect the user to these devices and into the cloud.

As we launch into the next phase of the mobile industry evolution, the following questions spring up: Will this trend continue, and what compelling use cases, apps, and services will support it? What does this imply to the app developers and will platform fragmentation be inevitable, or will multiple-platform app development be sustainable and scalable? What will be the unique use cases and differentiators between such devices? How will a phablet be different than a tablet td smartphone? Are there any revolutionary technologies that can transform the mobile UX across these devices? How will smart watches or other wearable devices interact with them, and with what apps? Will content be extensible and scalable across all platforms, or will some level of content tweaking for platforms always be a necessary?

Our panel will feature experts and industry gurus who will discuss their vision of what the future holds and answer the aforementioned questions - and more. They will also discuss what disruptive and converging trends and unique opportunities will arise in 2014 and beyond across the entire mobile ecosystem.
