Metrics That Matter

  • Jul 13, 2010 · 6:00 PM

Google Analytics -- hey it's free, so chances are you have it, but are you using it meaningfully? Learn a simple methodology to help you distill the metrics that matter, and then explore some video case studies of fellow nonprofit communications people and explore how they can translate goals into analytics, and ultimately meaningful results for their organizations. Have questions of your own? I'm sure you do! Fill out the
pre-event survey and let me know what your specific questions are about GA! This presentation is all about you and the things that you'd like to explore, so please don't be shy. : ) See you then! - Cary Walski from
MCF FYI, this presentation is an updated version of the one I presented with Jeff Hahn of Internet Exposure at the MCN Tech Conference in March.

I liked it --would have welcomed going through even more functions on Google Analytics.

Often times, you attend seminars, webinars, conferences, etc., and don't learn anything new or anything worth implementing. Not the case with this Meetup. Not only did we learn something new about Advanced Segments and Event Tracking, but we plan to implement these tactics right away! Thank you, Cary, for a great presentation.

I'll come clean and say that some of the discussion was over my head - the web development lingo - but that's ok I'm not a web developer. I got some new ideas that apply to my work, for example instead of surveying people about how they find my web content I realize now that I can just get the same more accurate data from Google.

I'll be a little late but I'm really excited for this!
