WordPressing in the First State
Details
As this is the first meetup for our group, I would like to provide an opportunity for everyone to get to network a bit, meet each other and share a bit in how we are (or have) used WordPress.
WordPress is much more than a blogging platform. It's powering over 20% of the web these days and growing as more and more individuals, business of all sizes, and non-profits are learning to harness the power, simplicity, and freedom WordPress has to offer.
You might be a newbie WP user wanting to learn more or a developer/designer who has put together numerous websites for clients or anywhere in between - everyone is welcome and we all have something to learn and share!
Let's get the ball rolling for this NCC WP meetup and see where everyone's interests are.
If you have any ideas for future meetup topics, do let me know.
For this meeting the rough agenda will look like this:
6:30 - Networking, drinks
7:00 - Websites that Use WordPress (you might be surprised!)
7:45 - WordPress.org vs WordPress.com - What's the difference and why should you care?
8:15 - WordPress Questions / Problems?
8:30 - Networking, drinks
