Rappelling/ascending clinic just South of the Sandia Ranger Station

This four hour clinic will be taught by qualified instructors from Stone Age. Expect to learn how to rappel and get the basics of ascending. If you have never rappelled before this is the perfect clinic to learn. Those of you who have rappelled, here's a chance to brush up on your skills. Stone Age will provide all gear needed. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that you can cover with a climbing harness. Plans are for the Cochiti race to have a 160 foot rappel. You will not be allowed to do this element if you have never rappelled before. Completing this clinic qualifies you. For those who still want to do the Cochiti Race without the rappel, you will be given a different route. Stone Age will charge $50 for the clinic. Be sure to bring a check made out to: Stone Age Climbing or cash.
