"Votes For Women" - a short film hosted by Delgato Women's Center

In honor of Women's Equality Day, which is NOT really an accurate depiction since voting is the only constitutionally designated right that women have! Is that full equality?

The Women's Center will show a film about the Suffrage movement, "Votes For Women", a film by Kay Weaver and Martha Wheelock and then have a discussion on the importance of voting.

They will also be registering people to vote. This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn't registered yet, especially with the important Senate elections this fall. Bring a friend who is new to town!

I'll try and make this one. Not sure I can because I'm involved in a bunch of other stuff too. The film sounds interesting. How short is "short film">? Just curious.

I think it is about 20-25 minutes, because they want to have time for discussion and questions.
