Habitat for Humanity Service Day
Details
We'll be serving with Habitat for Humanity of Greater San Francisco for a service day at their housing rebuild project in East Palo Alto (2261 Poplar Ave). Service projects include painting, demolition, fencing, and much more -- so wear grubby clothes!
We'll meet at 8:00 a.m. at FCCPA to have some breakfast and pack our lunches for the work day. Then we'll carpool to the worksite. (HFH requires that all participants show up on time, so it is imperative that you are at FCCPA no later than 8:15 a.m. and travel with our group to the worksite.) After our workday, we'll head back to the church for dinner and conversation.
Habitat is our service partner for the 2012-13 program year, and this is our first service day (with many more to come!). Learn more about HFHGSF on their Facebook page (facebook.com/habitatgsf.
Please bring $15 to cover food and programming; financial assistance is available for our friends in "employment transition" and recent grads! (Cash, check or credit/debit accepted at the door.)
