Meetup member Dan Meyer is doing a search for a "network systems tech that has a good bit of Linux experience as well as VoIP and overall tech capabilities." Here is the discussion thread if you'd like to learn more about it: http://www.meetup.com/New-Tech-Meetup-of-Central-PA/messages/boards/thread/9347199
Also, our next Meetup is in Carlisle. If you are on the West Shore, or near Harrisburg, or feel adventurous, please consider joining us at the Murata Center. It's a great facility and one of the best resources for startups in the area. [And check out the Star Trek themed room if you haven't seen it.] The director, Karen Gunnison, is terrific and a great contact to have in your network. There will be folks from Murata-housed companies there who can tell you what it's like to be part of that program.
We will be featuring health-related technology this month. Apeliotus Vision Sciences makes a diagnostic device for age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of irreversible blindness amount adults over 50 years old.
Hanson Technologies offers the Omnifresh system which provides a significant improvement in pathogen screening for vegetables and fruits. The system provides results which identify contaminated produce significantly more accurately in about 1/10 the time of current methods.
It'll be a great way to stretch your minds and perhaps find new ideas for your own startups. Please join us if you can.
