Hello everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to everyone. I hope you all received many blessings in recent days.

I would like to take the opportunity to announce a new Meetup for New York Meditation! We are back after a busy month of November, running workshops around North America.

Here in Manhattan there will be two meetups in December, two in January 2011 and two in February 2011.

This is all building up to a dynamic weekend workshop to be hosted by us February 26/27th 2011 at the New York Core Center. I have included more details about the weekend workshop below. But for now, here are the details for the next meditation meetup:

What: Meditation Skills For Modern People

When: Friday, December 10,[masked]:00 PM

Price: $12.00 per person

Where: Vital Switch office
80 E11th St, (corner Broadway)
New York, NY 10003
[masked]

Share a space of stillness and peace with some friendly meditators in Manhattan. We currently meet once a month, but we would like to meet once a week in the future.

This meetup is a chance to sit together with others who want to meditate, who like to sit together in a group and who also live in the City. It is ideal for anyone interested in developing a regular meditation practice.

The group is currently hosted by Matteus Levell and Samantha Keen, both experienced meditation instructors. They run New York-based wellness consultancy Vital Switch. See their profiles on the Vital Switch website.

The meditation techniques that used at Vital Switch are all about learning to tap into your natural resources of vitality, enthusiasm and joy. The techniques develop the subtle energy of life force or qi, also called prana or etheric. The life force is life itself - creative life. Tapping into this level brings true enthusiasm, inner joy and peace. Above all it is awakening and it works.

This is not based on any religion or dogma, rather it is a whole system of meditation skills that is developed for modern people who want to transform themselves.

The group shares one style of meditation based on the techniques of the Clairvision School. It is a practical technique that works for modern people who want to learn how to silence the mind and be more in their lives.

** Please note that the cost is $12.00 if you pay ahead of time using paypal and $15.00 at the door.
