GUEST SPEAKER

Join us August 7th as we welcome Michael Bryzek, founder and chief technology officer of Gilt Groupe, to our group as the guest speaker.

Michael's spent his career since 2007 building Gilt Groupe into a leading members-only shopping website featuring insider access to top-notch brands discounted to its members. Prior to 2007, Michael founded Volunteer Solutions and also served as the CTO after the company was acquired by United Way of America in 2001.

WHAT IS STARTUP PITCH NIGHT?

Startup Pitch Night provides the platform for early stage startups to practice and improve their startup pitch, gives startups anonymous peer-based feedback, and encourages trial and error without the requirement to apply and be accepted amongst a few to pitch – all within a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Startup Pitch Night is a vibrant and fun event with high variety, speed, and brevity at its core, coupled with a short talk on the next steps after the refinement of the pitch, from a startup industry leader.

Also, the lighting needs to be better. The only way the pitchers could be seen is if they stood in the light of the overhead projector.

Hi Cynthia (and everyone)! We do have a location, and I apologize for the oversight in not posting it earlier... We'll be at Connolly's and we've been hosted there a few times before. Everyone seemed to really like this venue - it's spacious and very private (we'll have the 3rd floor to ourselves) with a large screen and good audio system. We look forward to seeing everyone and having fun hearing some great startup pitches on Wednesday! Have a pleasant weekend...

Anyone here like video games? Im interested in starting a video game review website, that focuses on reviewing the value of video games, as opposed to reviewing quality (like all/most websites). Hope to meet some gamers at the event :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
