Trading Technically with a Fundamental Edge with Ed Moya

Details
Hi everyone

New York Traders Group is lead by Chris Tramount.
Speech Title: Trading Technically with a Fundamental Edge
Summary: The everyday battle of making money in the forex market for the retail trader is always becoming harder. They are up against professional traders, high-frequency trading systems, banks, brokers, and hedge funds. Many miss out on the next major move because they have limited experience or time. Volatility has dropped from what we were getting used to a few years ago and recent tight ranges have frustrated some forex traders. Volatility will pick up and it will likely be triggered by the next big picture fundamental event (Thank you Mario Draghi).
While hundreds of technical indicators exist, and with the potential to adjust parameters to countless options, the importance of having a rules based technical analysis methodology is important, but likely will have difficulty standing on its own without understanding market sentiment and what some of the triggers are for the algorithmic trading systems.
We will go over what are some of my favorite technical indicators/strategies, understanding market behavior and what big picture fundamental indicators/events I follow.
