Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our FinTech Open Mic Night series in New York. Please join us for our monthly mixture of presentations, skype-ins, fireside chats and shout-outs plus plenty of networking.

This monthly session is designed to provide an opportunity to catch up with your peers, to see what's going on in the New York and International FinTech scenes and to tell us all about yourself and your own work.

This month's topic is InsurTech. Although Insurance originally followed Banking in the FinTech revolution, it has certainly caught up now, and as investments into Banking FinTech abate, investments into InsurTech continue to grow. Insurance is a somewhat more closed than Banking, there is less collaboration between incumbents and far less common infrastructure (such as payment pipes), this makes the innovation proposition quite different from Banking, however the opportunitites are huge, something we'd like to explore in this session.
