Los Robles Trail Ridge View Hike from Triunfo Park (Westlake Village)

Please join us for a nice hike in the Conejo Open Space's Triunfo Canyon in Westlake. This hike will be an approximately a 3 mile there-and-back with about 450 feet of gradual elevation gain. The payoff is a great scenic view where the Triunfo Canyon Trail meets the Los Robles trail.

We start at the trailhead at the back parking lot of the Triunfo Community Park and switchback up to the Los Robles trail intersection. We admire the view for a while then go back where we started. The hike should take about an hour or so. There is a healthy amount of elevation on this hike, but it is nicely spaced out so an advanced beginner should be able to do it just fine.

PREPARATION: Please note the weather and dress accordingly. This time of year, the hike starts just before sunset and ends in the twilight or dark so be prepared for cold and some hiking in the dark. Bring flashlights, preferably with red lights to help preserve our night vision.

DIRECTIONS: From the 101 and Westlake Blvd (Rt. 23), head south about a mile and turn west (right) on Triunfo Canyon Rd. Continue west 1/2 mile and turn left on Tamarack St. Turn left into the second park entrance for the park's rear parking lot.
