Yes, I've read a substantial amount of his work, but certainly less that half of all of he has written.
Reading Nietzsche has always been a solitary experience for me. This time I want to read him in a group where I can hear the reactions and interpretations of others. I'd like to help others understand him more clearly, but also learn from what others have to say.
Join us on a reading and discussion adventure into ideas that take us to the edge of the abyss, and laugh with the sure-footed Nietzsche as he guides us through the experience.
I have had a lifelong interest in finding meaning and purpose in my life. Nietzsche addressed this issue more exhaustively than any other writer I've read, and he did so in a way that spoke to me in the deepest core of who I am.
We are off to an excellent start with a lot of enthusiasm among members. I'm optimistic about the future of the group. (Jan, 2013) Update March 14, 2013: We've now had two consecutive Meetups where only two members have showed up, so we need to reevaluate our plans for the future of the group. I know there's a lot of interest among our members based on our first two Meetups, but we must be realistic based on our recent attendance. At this point, we can no longer afford to meet in a reserved room at Caribou Coffee, so we will need to change the venue and probably the time and day of the week. Please let me know if there are days and times that work best for you so that we can be as inclusive as possible. Stay tuned for additional updates.
