Great news, fellow Night Photographers!
On Saturday, May 22nd in the San Jose/Campbell area we have a well known author, speaker and photographer coming to share his great knowledge of Night Photography. The date is firm, the time may move slightly when we sign the contract and pay for the use of the facility.Harold Davis
, father of four, husband of one, author of many books and master of Night Photography
has agreed to share with us on his approach to Night Photography.
Harold Davis is an award-winning photographer whose work has been widely published and collected. Harold is well known for his night photography and experimental ultra-long exposure techniques, use of vibrant, saturated colors in landscape compositions, and beautiful creative floral imagery.
This is a GREAT talk for beginning, intermediate or advanced night photographers.
There are TWO entries on Meetup for this: one is the "Lecture Only
" option for $4 and the other is a "With Book
" option for $25 both are for the same event.
The fee covers the cost of renting the facility and providing handouts (or if you elect to go with the book option, it covers the cost of the book including shipping, delivery and tax). What book? This one, of course:
Please note that payment is required to RSVP. We expect a large turnout so advance payment is the best option we have to be fair to all and keep the event manageable. If you cannot use Paypal to pay in advance, you can make an arrangement to pay one of the leadership team
We expect to open for sign-ups as soon as the afternoon of May 4th. If you want the "With Book" option please be advised that there will be a relatively short sign-up window so we can get your books ordered and present in time for the event. Book option folks also get a little perk: reserved front row seating.
Do you have questions or concerns? Please first read over the event descriptions and then pose any unanswered questions in the Discussion Board
Later in the evening is the KFOG Kaboom Fireworks
. We're finalizing plans for that also, but it might be your first best opportunity to put your newly learned Night Photography knowledge to use!
