Nittany Freethought Monthly Meetup

The 3rd Thursday meeting at Webster's has become our more formal meeting where we discuss any business, or any feethought topics anyone wants to bring up.  (The 1st Thursday meeting at the Tavern is mostly a social event.)  We'll try to have a few skeptical books and magazines on the table so can recognize us.

Nittany Freethought is a discussion and activist group in the Central Pennsylvania area. The group meets on a regular basis to discuss freethought issues such as separation of church and state, critical thinking, etc.  Please join us if you're interested in freethought issues!

Even though there were only four of us (but did others arrive later?) I was glad to be there. Cosime, I'm glad you came. I hope you did get something good out of the meeting. I have to confess I was very interested in what Dave brought in and was directing much of my attention there. I was aware that you were there, yet I wanted to find things out from Dave. I want to find out if this is a case of AA coercion and whether this man in prison wants to go to the considerable trouble of fighting it. He appears to be reconciled to his fate, but it may be that he is not aware of Rauser vs. Horn or of the other court decisions in other circuits. And he may not know that FFRF might be of help here.

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
