Hi, Nittany Freethought (with apologies to those who will get a duplicate via the HUUmanists) - -

Want to go to the Reason Rally in DC March 24?  The PSU Atheist Agnostic Association is organizing a trip, and Fearless Leader Scott Brown says non-students would be welcome to be part of the group car pooling, at the hotel Friday night, etc.  The details are below.  Please contact Scott <[address removed]>
RIGHT AWAY if you are interested.

Reason Rally!
"The Reason Rally is a movement-wide event sponsored by the country's major secular organizations... to unify, energize, and embolden secular people nationwide, while dispelling the negative opinions held by so much of American society... and have a damn good time doing it.  It will be the largest secular event in world history.  There will be music, comedy, great speakers, and lots of fun... and it's free!"

The Atheist/Agnostic Association will be driving down to D.C. on Friday March 23rd, and staying overnight to attend Reason Rally.  All are invited to come.  The cost of the field trip (hotel + travel) will be $35.  If you want to come with the AAA, you must sign up before January 24th!  Sign-up sheets will be available at all of the general meetings (Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM in 373 Willard), or e-mail me to obtain one.  There is a reduced cost option for members with a car, and willing to provide transportation.

A lot of hotels have rooms blocked out for attendees of the event.  We'll be staying at the Bethesda-Marriot, about 7 miles out and taking the metro in.  $99 for a room for four.  We're going to ... book the rooms on
January 25th.

In the interest of Full Disclosure, I'll tell the UUs in the group that March 24 is also the night of the UUFCC Auction ... too bad about the conflict, and that we can't be two places at once.  In fact, non-UUs are also welcome at the Auction, and will have a great time.  I'm still on the fence myself.

Thank you for considering both options.  - - Chuck
