Is the NoVA Golfers Meetup for Me? If you love the game of golf and having FUN, you will fit right in-both beginners and intermediate golfers enjoy the adventure of the vast array of courses we play! Our events are relaxed and stress-free, and our members are friendly and supportive.

This is the perfect way to play more golf and meet new golfers. It’s hard to coordinate with your friends to schedule tee times…everyone is so busy these days. As you know it's almost impossible to get a tee time for just 1 person and even if you could, who really wants to play golf alone? Who will see your hole-in-one?

What type of Meetups does NoVA host? We have a Saturday Traveling League, playing courses throughout Northern Virginia, MD, and DC. After every round, all players are welcome to celebrate at the 19th hole social hour (or two) of dinner and drinks.  The 2011 season has been fantastic, and we are already working on plans for the 2012 golf season-to include lesson packs and several overnight events, so that players can golf Saturday and/or Sunday!

NoVA schedules Sunday and Holiday events throughout the golf season, including our annual Halloween Bash complete with costumes! Check out our currently scheduled winter/spring events and click on the third “past” events web-tab to see some of the courses played this past season.

What is the format of play? Beginner golfers typically enjoy playing in a Scramble format, (hitting from the best ball of their team), this allows them to keep the same pace of play as intermediate golfers. Most of our intermediate golfers enjoy stroke play (each player hits his or her own ball). No pressure…only FUN!
