Dan Rowe, from Etsy (http://etsy.com (http://etsy.com/)), will be giving an overview of the past, present and future of the metric aggregation daemon StatsD ( https://github.com/etsy/statsd/ ). He'll discuss the different types of metrics that you can send to it, as well as how to configure it to send data to different backends like Graphite, Ganglia or even Socket.io. As for the future, he will be demoing the alpha StatsD Cluster Proxy which allows you to horizontally scale StatsD as the number of metrics you send grows.
