Details

Hi all,

Nodeschool!!! We're going to be doing a monthly Nodeschool and hack. This is great if you're new to Node.js or if you've got something that you want to work on with the community.

We've also got a website ( http://nodeschool.io/denver-boulder ) ...thank you Talon Poole! and official repository (https://github.com/nodeschool/denver-boulder). If you want to help on the webpage, just make a fork and do a PR (it uses Wintersmith).

So, what is NodeSchool? NodeSchool.io (http://nodeschool.io/) is a open source community that helps interested beginners get started with Node.js.

NodeSchool has installable choose-your-own-adventure style lessons to learn how to use Node.js, npm and other related tools by writing code to solve realistic problems. You can head over to http://nodeschool.io/ and check out the courses.

The lessons run in your terminal and work on Windows, Mac and Linux.

As a student you are required to bring your own laptop (Mac, Linux, or Windows). Instructions with how and what to install will follow. Food, drinks, and wifi will be provided. Mentors will be on hand to help you get setup, ask questions, and assist you in your Node.js adventure.

We'll be initially, officially supporting the first track for this month (you may do any lesson you wish) from Nodeschool.io (http://nodeschool.io/):

• Learn You The Node.js For Much Win - the basics of node: asynchronous I/O, http

Go ahead and if you can please make sure that you install Node.js, npm, and the Nodeschool lesson that you wish to do.

This meetup will be limited due to network limitations.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to shoot me an email: rlucas130@gmail.com .

Want to mentor? That's awesome! Everyone will love your help. Please email me directly and I'll get you down as a mentor.

Want to sponsor? That's super awesome! Please email me and we'll figure out the details.

Cheers!

Richard
