JavaScript Testing

You test your server code but why not your JavaScript? Or maybe you are even unsure about testing your server code! No worries, testing is hard and sometimes I think writing tests is harder than writing your production code. Come on out and lets learn what options we have for testing our JavaScript as well as how others have been tackling the problem of JavaScript testing.

The Venue

We are working to spread the JavaScript love around and like JavaScript, make this meetup accessible to as many people as possibly! This month, we will be meeting in Independence at the wonderful offices of Level Seven Software. They have graciously allowed us to invade their space and provide some good eats so please make sure to thank them.

The Show

We'll be meeting again to discuss some of the tooling and good practices around testing your JavaScript. We are expecting to have two great presentations as always. We will be exploring testing tools such as qunit, mocha and testem. Additionally, we will learn how to automate our JavaScript testing on your continuous integration server as well as have some lively discussion on what we want to test and what makes a good test.

COME ONE COME ALL!

The Cleveland JS meetup is a great place to hang if you want to sharpen your skills, ask gnarly coding questions, find development talent or promote your project. Got something to contribute - come down and hang with us!

Hello, We will be doing some hands on hacking and getting jshint, testem, qunit and grunt running during this meetup.

It would be helpful to install nodejs and have your favorite editor ready to roll for this meeting.

    Looking forward to Monday!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
