This month we're moving on up... to the east side!
This month we're gathering at Shaker LaunchHouse to dive into the MEAN stack. MEAN stands for MongoDB, Express, Angular and Node.js!
When is it and where do I go?
We're gathering at Shaker LaunchHouse on Monday, March 31, 2014! The meetup is at 6:30pm. Shaker LaunchHouse is located at 3558 Lee Rd, Shaker Heights, OH 44120.
The awesome people at the Launch House have offered their facilities to support the growing Cleveland technology community. They've made available conference room available and have also offered to sponsor food and refreshments.
What is on the schedule?
This month it's all about the MEAN stack. At the moment, we have two presentations on the schedule:
• Getting MEAN (Brad Davis)
This talk will cover the MEAN stack, what it is and how the various pieces (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS and Node) fit together to provide a really compelling framework for building applications.
This talk will start high level and then dive down into examples. In addition, Brad will provide insight into how this framework has been used in his own projects. He will cover what's worked and provide some information about best practices.
• Gulp - Pipelined Builds for Node (Michael Uzquiano)
We'll provide a sample GitHub project ahead of this presentation so that you can get up and running quickly. Gulp ties in quite nicely with MEAN as a means for building and deploying production-ready JS apps!
COME ONE COME ALL!
The Cleveland JS meetup is a great place to hang if you want to sharpen your skills, ask gnarly coding questions, find development talent or promote your project. Got something to contribute - come down and hang with us!
See you there!
