Bill Gaylor spent 14 years at Microsoft in a variety of roles, all of which were focused on helping customers leverage the technology they owned to provide better ways of servicing their end users and constituents. In fact, Bill worked with Intel helping them better collaborate using technologies that eventually became SharePoint. So you can say he worked with SharePoint before there was a SharePoint.
