(Rated PG) - 89min.

A giant egg washes ashore after a storm, and a pair of greedy land developers waste no time exploiting it for profit AND manage to wake Godzilla, unleashing mass destruction! Intrepid reporters and a grizzled scientist bent on exposing the evildoers meet a pair of tiny, enigmatic fairy girls bearing unfortunate news: The egg belongs to Mothra. Nearing the end of her lifespan and repulsed by mankind's money-grubbing, pleas to save Japan fall on deaf antennae as Mothra prefers the egg to hatch where it sits, thus doing a little 'grubbing' of her own. But even as the fairies commence a synchronized serenade to beg Mothra aid humanity, Godzilla's apocalyptic wrath reaches a fever pitch and the world teeters on the brink of radioactive annihilation...

Widely thought to be one of the best and most dramatic in tone of the 'Showa' Godzilla era films (pre-1979), 'Mosura tai Gojira' featured such iconic Toho regulars as Akira Takarada (Sakai), Yuriko Hoshi (Junko), Yû Fujiki, (Jiro) and Hiroshi Koizumi (Prof. Miura).

...Come watch this CREATURE FEATURE with us under the stars at Hamilton field! Check out MONSTROUS themed cupcakes and THRILLING raffle prizes!!

SHOW START TIME OF 9:00PM!**  The pre-show and trailers take about 20 minutes, intermission is 1/2 way through the film and runs 20min.

**Show time is approximate! Please be aware that sunset time, and the length of the pre-show factor in and we do not guarantee precision start times**

We are in our SIXTH YEAR doing the North Bay Drive In!!  Laura will be offering treats and drinks at the Concession Stand and as always, we ask for whatever donations you can spare to help us keep the Drive-In Dream alive. :)  You can always donate a few bucks to the link on the side of the main page or via this link:

EVENT INFO (edited 7/9/12) <--please read!

We're a mobile DRIVE-IN, keeping the authentic experience alive as best we can! We project a big 30 foot wide image on the side of the Old Hamilton Theater building (closed for many years now) and transmit the audio over the FM band (88.3FM) just like modern drive-ins. We operate totally via donations and even have a small concession snack bar at each performance, in addition to raffle prizes and special presentations during the intro and intermission segments!! COME JOIN US and KEEP THE DRIVE-IN ALIVE!

Drive-In Tips:
Arrive early if you plan to park and watch from your car! There's lots of space chairs and blankets in front of the cars. Pre-show runs 15-20 minutes (thus the movie does not start exactly at the time listed above, but please be courteous and do not arrive late). There will be a 20 minute intermission and raffle. ALL CARS MUST KEEP IT SLOW when driving in the parking area. Children are welcome, but we ask you supervise them at all times. Same with pets, welcome but must be on leash. Access to parking lot closes after the movie starts, at which point we ask folks park in the adjacent lot and walk in with lawn chair/blanket so as not to disturb those watching the movie. NOTE: THERE ARE NO REGULAR RESTROOMS AT THIS LOCATION - there's a park on Hamilton Pkwy down the road and around the corner that has open facilities while the sun is up and sometimes the church across the street has an event and we can use theirs (located in the courtyard) but otherwise we have to improvise!

Drive-In Etiquette:
PLEASE KEEP CAR LIGHTS OFF during the show. **LARGER VEHICLES SHOULD PARK IN THE BACK ROW (Minivans, SUVs, Crossovers, Pickups)** We can't always be 100% on top of this one so if you have a smaller car do try to come early to get a front row spot! If you have a car that cannot be parked with the radio running without lights coming on, PLEASE PARK OFF SITE and go the lawn chair route! During the movie, please keep talking and walking around to a minimum. We also ask folks to refrain from smoking close to other cars or attendees.  There's plenty of space on the grass by the entrance and you can still see (and usually hear) the movie.

Snack Bar & Raffles:
DONATE for SNACKS at our Concession Stand equipped with popcorn, hot dogs, candy and refreshments! There's usually themed cupcakes and/or other treats plus A RAFFLE with awesome prizes!! Raffles are held during intermission and usually feature a movie-themed prize-pack!... And always - Small bills greatly appreciated at the concession stand. PLEASE DON'T LITTER -- TAKE ALL TRASH WITH YOU OR DEPOSIT IT WITH US AT THE CONCESSION STAND!

ADVERTISING is available during our pre-show. The drive-in prides itself on being a community-based event. Promote your local business or service with us and reach Marin customers. Please email Bill at [masked] for details. It's an inexpensive and effective way to promote your business to an enthusiastic audience of anywhere from 50 to 100+ per event!!

DONATIONS are what makes this happen! You can donate at the show or via this helpful PAYPAL link with your major credit card:

My first meetup and everyone was so friendly. The movie was fun and I felt like a kid again lying under the Stars with Godzilla. The hosts were great, the raffle was fun with awesome prizes!

Bummed I'll be on vacation for Mothra -- one of the finest examples of Japanese monster movie making ever. Great choice -- enjoy it for me :^)
