Re: [North-Bay-Mobile-Drive-In] 'Back to the Future' ToNiGhT - Gonna be a big show on a warm night!

So the video thing comes down to this:

I downloaded a GREAT copy full HD, very clear and large files.  It is however broken in parts, and in the middle where I do the intermission, it actually stops playing when it resumes, so I need to remember to skip through it, forward for about a minute.  People may object, too bad.  That's IF that's the only place it's fucked up.

If it starts doing that elsewhere, I am setting up another file folder with duplicate intro/intermission and a different copy of the film.  Sadly, the only other one I could download was, in a word, shit.  It looks like a five year old dubbed it from a 20 year old VHS even though the idiots on Piratebay rated it 10/10 video quality (smoking lots of crack).  That's unfortunately the way it goes, so if the good copy starts fucking up, I will have to stop the show and go to File B.

Anyway, at worst I have to go to File B and some people might see a difference, but the show will at least continue.

I am running very late, won't be there until about 6:30.  I will try to run into Safeway and get ice and bottled coke.  I have mustard and candy in a brown bag on my dining table along with the two doc brown sodas.

Howdy Drivers!

About 70 RSVPs for tonight so car folks should come least 30 minutes early. When the lot is full of cars, we'll put out the STOP sign and only allow walk-ins. I usually watch from the projection car (a white van this time) and I'll have at least one extra lawn chair, but bringing your own is the best plan. Transistor radios also help to hear the show from outside your car (88.3 FM).

The current temperature in Novato is 81F and the forecast calls for 70's and 60's temps through 10pm. GREAT weather to go BACK TO THE FUTURE!

We also have a NEW Facebook page so be sure to Like us over there, too!

See you tonight!!
