Review Raymondh's Python Idioms

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow night.  If you check the "files" section of the group, here:

I have posted the code snippets that we're doing to be running during the session tomorow night.  ( The samples should not require anything but a basic python installation.  Please bring (well-charged) laptops!  I'm hoping that there will be many questions about these examples that we can answer on our own.

We got one (count 'em, one) vote for a location, so we're going to PerformLine.  Outstanding!

We need a presentation, and I really liked this presentation from PyCon:

So I worked through all the examples he gave and tested the timing.  (Not everything was faster, tho!)

I'll send out the code just before meeting time, so you can bring  your laptops and play along while we discuss Raymond's advice.

Started playing with the examples, and cloned the code to:

Haven't had much time to play with it, but looking forward to playing with it some more tonight.

One more thing, just in case if this is your first time visiting our office, office is on the 3rd floor (right next to Citibank). You can use the buzzer on the main door to get in. Press "Z" and "2" to buzz me so that I can let you in. Or feel free to call the office[masked]

Thanks (in advance) very much, Ye. Could I convince you (or someone else from PerformLine) to give a lightning talk on the firm? We'd be interested in hearing what PerformLine does, and if you're looking for Pythonistas, what you might need.

Thank you Chris for suggesting the topic and glad to be hosting tomorrow. By the way, Pizza and beverages will be served!
