Using jQuery UI in Drupal 7/Gardens

Having hard time learning to use jQuery in Drupal 7 whether it's using a custom or built-in library and knowing the difference? Me too! Would any members being willing to take the lead in showing us how to get scripts working with module. I don't want to learn how to program jQuery but how to utilize libraries.
