Disaster can occur at any time, both natural and manmade. Local, state, and national governments encourage civil preparedness. With earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and an extremely shaky economy we all need to have a plan "B". What is yours?
Our goal is to share resources, build networks, teach self-reliance, and focus on skill building in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Setting up a network, teaching and helping each other, and inspiring confidence and self-reliance when no other assistance is available are the initial goals of this group. Let's work together to provide our own safety net for ourselves and our families.
Regular monthly meetup topics will include equipment reviews, wilderness survival skills, alternative power sources, first aid, food and resource management, how to’s, threat assessment and response, situational awareness, and firearms training. Members and organizers are not experts but each can have an expertise in a specific area that builds a network of support. Learning and having fun with likeminded people, who want to share skills, can make a potentially intimidating situation more manageable while building individual confidence.
This is not a political action group. We are formed strictly to enable our members to more effectively respond to and survive emergency and disaster situations. We welcome any comments and suggestions on this topic and request that any political views be expressed elsewhere.
New members must be approved by the Organizer

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
