10 School Street, Danvers, MA
This is the first in what will hopefully become a regular thing for this group: Hackathons.
The theme of this hackathon will be augmented reality and sensors. Inspired by the success of Ingress which uses GPS sensors in your phone to immerse you in a game and implement clever data-collection, let's see what cool apps and games we can code in an afternoon.
Bring your own computer for coding; all languages allowed. Research various libraries and frameworks beforehand if possible. We may have some hardware on hand you can play around with (e.g. raspberry pi, arduino, soldering irons, power supplies, etc.) but consider bringing a smartphone or some other device with sensors to use.
10:00am - Introductions
10:30am - Brainstorming
11:00am - Pitches and Idea Development
11:30am - Break into Groups and Setup Tools
12:00pm - Lunch
12:30pm - HACK!
4:30pm - Show and Tell
I'll supply lunch and drinks (we can decide that day if we want pizza or sandwiches or something along those lines) We'll also see if we can't scrounge up some awards for the best project at the end.
Hope to see you there! :-)
Act now and get 50% off.
Until February 1.
