Diby Malakar works as Director of Product Management for Oracle with a primary focus on Oracle Cloud products and solutions. He has more than 18 years of experience building products and solutions in the Cloud and Analytics space, specializing in helping companies bridge the gap between product, technology and business. Prior to Oracle, he managed the Core Data Integration Product line at Informatica and was responsible for pioneering the concept of "Self-Service Data Integration". Prior to Informatica, he ran Engineering and Product Management functions at Cloud9 Analytics, a SaaS-based startup focused on building sales performance management applications. He has also worked for companies like KPMG, Neoforma and TiVo in various engineering management and product management capacities. He is a speaker at leading conferences and has also published numerous articles in leading magazines. He has served as the President of the San Francisco DAMA Chapter for several years and has also been on the DAMA International Board of Directors.

    The timing was planned (network and food at 6pm and start at 7pm), but I didn't make it clear enough in the invite. Will fix for next time.

    While I enjoyed hearing about Oracle's cloud plans, the content was not the best for a group of DBAs.

    I'll make sure the next Meetup has technical content for DBAs and not just marketing fluff.

    Ha! Oracle cloud and any cloud solution kills DBA job security. What enthusiasm do you expect from the side of DBA?
    What to demo? "Demo" things are only in plan They do not exist.
    That's kind of solutions (cloud based applications) are not for DBAs or Developers.
